About me

Together we can untangle the past or inspire new ways of thinking, creating a happier future.

I am an Integrative counsellor , meaning I am trained in a variety of modalities, and adapt to your needs.

I believe The most important thing, in counselling is the relationship. If you feel safe to talk and are heard, when there is empathy and congruence and unconditional positive regard , then you Automatically feel safe , accepted , warts and all , and this often begins a process of change.i use the Enneagramme, to create awareness and acceptance of who you are. Knowledge empowers us, and when you come to see me, we become a team. You will no longer be alone . I have regular supervision so the three of us, create a chord not easily broken. You deserve to thrive. Life is meant to be lived , in fullness . Don’t wait.call today , and begin the process of giving yourself, your soul, the food it needs to thrive !

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in higher education ( counselling)

Before I became a counsellor , I was a supervisor for a care company ( NVQlevel3) A teacher, and entrepreneur . I ran my own business, training and educating and empowering underprivileged people in Africa, for 20 years.I hold a full British passport and immigrated due to the violence in South Africa.

I was part of a team of people who started a private school in South Africa , called Ridgeway Independant school. I taught there for many years part time and also at Soutanesburg Primary school where I was the Life orientation teacher.

My speciality is to empower people to be who they were born to be, using their talents to create a happy fulfilled life where you don’t just survive, but you thrive !

There is no magic wand, however given the right conditions, talking and discussing things with a therapist , who is not a friend or family member, can be like a seed planted in good soil, where growth comes.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
