Dr Lynne Chatterton
I am a Clinical Psychologist and have worked in the NHS for 20 years, the last 14 of these as a qualified Clinical Psychologist. I am now working in my private practice in Urmston, Manchester, within Nicki Haves Physiotherapy. My clinic days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, although please ask if you require other days.
Due to COVID-19 I am currently working via Zoom until face-to-face meetings are deemed safe.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I offer an integrative approach to psychological therapy that is tailored towards each client’s needs.
Each client is an individual and brings a unique experience of the world and their relationships within it. It requires a knowledge and understanding of a variety of theoretical and therapeutic perspectives in order to deliver the most helpful approach to recovery for each client.
I am currently only working with adults.
Training, qualifications & experience
I gained a BSc. (Hons.) degree in Psychology in 2000 from the University of Manchester.
In 2006 I gained a D.Clin.Psy. from the University of Liverpool.
Over the last 20 years, I have worked in the NHS within a variety of services including a Secure Mental Healthy Facility for women, a Community Service for Psychosis Early Intervention, a Community Mental Health Team, a Psychological Therapy Service and more recently a Community Team for people with Learning Disabilities.
I am registered with the HCPC and am a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society.
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
Health and Care Professions Council
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
