About me

In life we choose our behaviour and our thinking, both of those effect how we feel. If you find yourself at a place where you are feeling anxious, depressed or your mood is low , then I can help you.

My name is Lynn I work as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, the integrative method of counselling combines the approaches of Person centred, Psychodynamic and CBT. The combination enables me to tailor the sessions to suit clients needs at each stage of the journey.

Therapy allows you to process and understand difficult past circumstances which potentially are effecting what is happening to you in the present. I will help you with your choice of thoughts and behaviours to enable you live with less anxiety and low moods.

Training, qualifications & experience

The best thing I can offer any client is life experience and through difficult experiences myself have found a way to live a happy and fulfilled life. Alongside that I have a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Dip in Integrative Counselling, MBACP(Reg).

I work collaboratively which is designed to help you take control of your life in order to achieve positive change and increased wellbeing.

Continuous Professional Development

I believe I will always have more to learn about life and circumstances of life so I work hard on my own learning through professional development courses as often as I can.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Please contact me if you would like to see some changes within your life. Counselling is a talking therapy which is based on a respectful, caring relationship. It is not about giving advice or directing you to take a particular course of action. A strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation that creates the safe environment to allow you to be vulnerable, honest and where change can take place.
