Lynn Keeves Dip MBACP(Accred)
It’s time for you to talk, so how can you choose the therapist that’s right for you? A difficult decision to make before you even begin to talk about what has brought you here in the first place!
I offer an initial 50 minute session, at my normal rate, so that we can work out if what I can offer is what you are looking for, and if you feel we can work together. Additionally, you can be assured that you will experience being in a safe, non-judgemental confidential space.
I work from a Person-Centred perspective. This means that you and your needs are the centre of the work we will do together and not someone else’s ideas of what is right for you. I believe that you know yourself better than anyone, and I will walk alongside you to try to gain some insights together, perhaps on previously unspoken feelings. This is an opportunity to look at and talk about what has happened to you, maybe even still happening to you, try to make some sense of it, and together work out a way for you to move on.
I will not ask "What's wrong with you?" but "What's happened to you?"
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified in 2014 with a CPCAB L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Since qualifying, I have worked in a community counselling service for the past 6 years which has given me experience in working with a wide range of people, from young adults to retired people.
I have experience in working with clients experiencing loss of all kinds, relationship difficulties, historical abuse, work related anxiety and stress, self-harm, addictions and spirituality.
I also am a tutor for Diploma level counselling students at Bedford College and am passionate about training others to be counsellors, so I offer concessions for counselling students from other training organisations.
