I am an experienced Humanistic Counsellor with a small independent practice on the borders of Leicestershire Warwickshire and Staffordshire. I am in easy reach of Atherstone, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Ashby de la Zouch, and Tamworth. I have also worked voluntarily for a local counselling charity. I am experienced working with people who have physical impairment and my service is wheel chair accessible.
It can be sometimes helpful to have a professional, confidential relationship with someone who is not directly involved in our lives.
By offering my commitment in a safe and quiet place my clients and I can explore ways of alleviating anxieties and distress.
I do not have a waiting list.
As a guide, I work with issues regarding the family, including anxiety and depression,adoption, work related problems, abortion, miscarriage, pregnancy and childbirth, bullying, loss and grief, relationship issues including divorce and separation, emotional sexual and physical abuse and trauma.
Some people may look to counselling for other reasons, such as a sense of loneliness or lack of motivation/fulfilment. I am able to offer meditation mindfulness and relaxation techniques to enhance my therapeutic sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
First and foremost I am a Humanistic Counsellor. I have also studied CBT, Gestalt therapy, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. I am a registered member of the BACP. I hold an enhanced CRB disclosure, and a Certificate Of Education (Nottingham). I have been practicing mindfulness and meditation as a supplement to and to enhance therapy.
I am very experienced in working with young adults, and particularly people who have experience of the care system. I have also worked with a significant number of clients with disabilities, for example cerebral palsey, ASD, and clients with hearing and sight loss.
I have experienced counselling myself. This has helped me to understand the counselling process and so I can try to understand and help with your concerns if you feel apprehensive about therapy. hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
I am also able to offer therapy at a reduced rate for counselling students in training.

I am able to offer mindfulness and relaxation techniques, as an aid to our therapeutic relationship.
My fee is £40 per session, and this is inclusive of an initial meeting. If we should agree mutually that my service is not suitable, I will endeavour to refer you to a more appropriate place.

If your therapy sessions are funded by an employer, please be assured that client confidentiality is guaranteed. I am also able to invoice to employers as required.
My small practice is in pleasant, private surroundings, on the borders of Warwickshire
Leicestershire and Staffordshire.
There is ample, and very discreet parking.
My clients are welcome to sit in the garden for a brief time if they wish before or after our therapy meetings.
