Lynn Floyd LLB (Hons) - Counsellor (MBACP) Dip Couns; Dip CBT
Hi. My name is Lynn, and I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT).
I offer an integrative approach to therapy which is person-centred to your needs.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have over 10 years experience working as a Mental Health Advocate . I am passionate about providing an accessible talking therapy to people in the community. I specialise in bereavement, sexual violence/rape, domestic violence, self-esteem, addiction, gambling, anger management, trauma, OCD, depression, anxiety, social phobias, self harm, eating disorders, among many others (please see below).
I offer a safe, empathic, non judgemental and confidential environment in which to share and explore whatever may be troubling you. By offering you these essential conditions, and listening to what you are saying, I am able to gain an insight into your issues and together we can explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, in order to help you develop a greater understanding of yourself.
I have previously worked with It’s My Right (Rape Crisis), Scunthorpe – specialising in sexual violence/rape/domestic violence.
I have previously worked with Drug Intervention Programme, Scunthorpe – specialising in substance addiction/misuse.
I have experience and training in bereavement, from Cruse Bereavement Support.
I have also volunteered with the Samaritans previously.
I am experiences at working with problem gamblers and affected others.
