About me

I have worked on line with clients for 6 yrs and my clients and I have found it very successful.

I view my work as my ' life's purpose, it is extremely important to me that my clients reach their goals and achieve a happier sense of well-being by the end of their therapy.
I find that many people are not able to attend counselling during working hours. I therefore, work in the evenings at the weekends.
I am happy to say that 95% of my clients are recommended to me by my previous clients.
I have become a bit of a study 'junky' and am always looking for and using better techniques,as the more we discover about the brain and mental health issues, the more we understand what are the best ways to help a client.
I have been studying Clinical Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Trauma Therapy , Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and EMDR amongst other models of therapy for 16 yrs.
I have been in Private Practice since 2007.
I work and charge by appointment session, not by time.
The average session time is approx 90 mins.
I am available for between session emergency text contact at no cost. I do my utmost to return texts etc. as soon as I am free to do so.

I do extensive work with all levels and types of Depression, Anxiety and Panic Disorders and Issues.

I have worked for 3yrs with a Rehabilitation Clinic specialising in Addictions and Alcoholism, and before that with a group of carers helping them cope with Young Dementia Sufferers.

I do some work 'on line' when necessary, but usually, with clients I have met previously.

I hsve untertaken continual training for 20 yrs and have been in Private Practice for 11yrs.

I am about to obtain a Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I also have a Post Graduate qualification (Masters level)in Traumatology.

I undertook training for 2 yrs to achieve a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy,
I have studied for 2 yrs 6 months in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy,Solution Focus Brief Therapy, amongst other models.
I also use my Clinical Hypnosis experience in association with Regression Therapy

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
