About me

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my Counselling Directory page.

How can I help?

I understand how daunting it can be to take the first steps towards seeking help, so at Clocks Counselling I aim to offer you a welcoming, safe space that provides time for you, where you can share and explore what has brought you to counselling without fear of judgement or criticism. I will strive to accept and understand how you feel, from your perspective, with empathy and kindness, working together through the therapeutic process to facilitate better understanding of yourself and assist you in finding a way forward that is right for

Some of the issues I have supported people with include:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Panic attacks
  • Relationship issues
  • Stress
  • Low self esteem and confidence
  • Bereavement, grief and loss
  • Life changes
  • Feeling sad
  • Family conflict
  • Loneliness

As well as much more... A wider range of issues can be seen below.

Introductory Session
I believe it is important that you find a therapist who is right for you, which is why I offer a reduced rate introductory session. This first session gives us an opportunity to meet, I will explain how I work, covering boundaries and confidentiality and we can explore your requirements and expectations. I can address any questions or concerns you may have about the therapeutic process, providing an opportunity to determine if we are comfortable working together.

What to expect
Based within a dedicated counselling centre, I offer one-to-one short or long term therapy, on a regular weekly or fortnightly basis. Sessions are 50 minutes long and in this safe, supportive environment you can explore your feelings and behaviours around the issue, or issues, that brought you to counselling. The number of sessions required varies from client to client, dependent on your individual needs.
As well as talking therapy I am also able to counsel those who prefer to communicate ‘creatively’, facilitating expression through the use of art materials, such as drawing, or using stones.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • DipHE in Person-Centred Counselling

In addition to my private practice, I have also counselled in the further education sector and within a drug and alcohol recovery centre. To ensure I can offer you an up to date, professional and ethical service I attend relevant training courses, striving to increase my knowledge and develop myself as a practitioner, I also attend regular clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.
