About me

Are you feeling sad? Do you have feelings of dread and fear? Do you believe life is so full of doom and gloom right now?   If yes, I can only imagine how your feeling especially during covid lockdown. Maybe your feeling ever fearful than before? Do you feel you’re not coping well with isolation?  Have you lost a loved one?  Are you worried about the uncertainty of your future? If yes, I can only image how you are feeling.
These are critical times that we live in, it’s hard especially when alone and isolated and have no one to talk to, this can lead you feeling depressed. If you usually find it hard to talk to stranger. It will be ok! I will make you feel comfortable.  I really want to hear from you, I care about you and your wellbeing.

If you feel you can’t talk to family or a friend, then call me. My name is Lurlene, I am a qualified Counsellor, I will use my skills and tailor to your unique self.   I will listen attentively in a non-judgemental way, I will guide you as we make sense of what is going on.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling 2017,

I have experience many loss in different circumstances, pregnancy loss, terminal illness, suicide ideation, loss of childhood. I also welcome bereaved who has loss loved ones through violent and sudden death.

I worked for NHS for 10 years and St Christophers Hospice and trained with Cruse and Place2be. I continue with CPD training for my professional development.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
