Luisa Savidge MBACP (Accred)
Welcome to Lark Rise Counselling and Psychotherapy.
It can be daunting thinking about seeking help and it can be hard knowing where to start. Working with me, you would not only be supported by a professional in understanding your feelings, but also benefit from my ability to empower you to move forward with a fresh perspective. I believe that counselling doesn't have to mean long-term dependency on professional help. It can mean learning how to develop your own self-help toolkit to face life's challenges.
I welcome clients with any issue that they may wish to bring, and also enjoy working with counsellors in training who may require person-centred counselling as part of their course.
You can contact me in the first instance, either by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning 07704 399773. During this initial contact, we will discuss your needs and your hopes around how therapy might be able to help you. I will also take down contact details and other information that is helpful to me in ensuring a safe working relationship. I will also be able to get a feel for whether I am able to help. We will then arrange an an initial appointment, during which a more in depth exploration of your needs will take place and we can decide together if we feel that we can work together.
There is no obligation to continue with the counselling beyond this point. Going forward, we will book further sessions on a mutually agreed basis.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
