About me
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and have extensive experience in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, relationship problems, addiction, and trauma. Having personally faced the emotional challenges associated with leaving my own country, I have developed a particular interest in displacement issues, encompassing the consequences of migration and the journey of defining one’s identity.
My work centres on exploring the unconscious aspects of the mind, with a strong emphasis on self-discovery and personal growth. By delving into one’s thoughts, feelings, and past experiences, individuals can gain insight into their behavioural patterns, motivations, and emotional responses. This process aids in clarifying values and desires, ultimately leading to more authentic choices and a greater sense of freedom in life. Recognising that each person's experiences and goals are unique, the journey of depth psychotherapy is highly individualised, enabling clients to define what freedom and fulfillment mean to them.
With the rise of remote working, I have increasingly been seeing clients online or over the phone. I have had a long experience in providing therapy in this format. This has allowed clients with mobility issues or with very busy work/family lives to still access psychotherapy.

Training, qualifications & experience
I received a postgraduate degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, where I now serve in the Council as Treasurer.
I am a Full Clinical Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), an organization that upholds the highest standards of professional practice in the field of psychotherapy and counselling. As part of this membership, I am required to maintain comprehensive professional indemnity insurance, ensuring that I am fully covered to protect both myself and my clients in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore, I am committed to adhering to a strict code of ethics that emphasizes respect, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of my practice. This ethical framework guides my interactions with clients and fosters a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Additionally, I actively participate in regular, confidential supervision sessions, which are essential for my ongoing professional development. These sessions provide an opportunity to reflect on my practice, gain insights from experienced supervisors, and ensure that I continue to provide the highest quality of care to my clients. Being part of the UKCP community reinforces my dedication to continuous learning and professional responsibility in the field of psychotherapy.
I began my private therapy practice in London in 2013, driven by a passion for helping others and a vision to make a positive impact on mental health. In conjunction with building my practice, I dedicated my time to volunteering at the mental health charity Mind, where I worked with individuals facing various mental health challenges, providing support and guidance to foster their resilience and well-being. Additionally, I also volunteered at the Psychosis Therapy Project, where I engaged with clients experiencing psychotic disorders. Through these experiences, I honed my therapeutic techniques, deepened my understanding of mental health issues, and emphasized the importance of compassionate care in my practice.
I have a great passion for cinema and the arts. I have worked professionally as a television producer and a filmmaker, today, in this capacity I volunteer for different charitable organisations which centre their missions on educating and entertaining audiences of all ages through cinema.
I have an MA in Media Studies from New School University (NYC, USA) and a Laurea com Laude in History from Bologna University, Italy.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
