About me
Starting counselling can be a daunting experience, from choosing a counsellor to an initial meeting. Whenever I am asked for advice on where to start, I would always say the most important aspect is that you find a counsellor that you ‘click’ with. Counselling is essentially a healing relationship, so above all finding someone that you feel comfortable with is key.
I am Integratively trained, which means that I draw from an Integration of theories, but also that I aim to promote integration within my clients lives. This means a better understanding of how your history links to your present, of how bodily sensations link to your thought processes, reflecting on patterns in behaviours and giving plenty of space to explore and understand your emotions. At the heart of how I work is authenticity, and I aim to help you to better understand who you are and why you feel the way that you do.
I describe my way of working as a collaborative ‘go with the flow’ process. I work with whatever you want to bring to the sessions, and will help you to explore and delve at a pace that feels right for you. Often things that feel fragmented will start to feel more connected as we begin to make sense of it all together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc in Integrative Counselling from Middlesex University, and am accredited by UKCP. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues at Off The Record, and have experience of working with eating disorders at Eating Matters.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
