About me
(Re)discover your authentic self through therapy with Lucy Reynolds
Do you wake up dreading each day? Worrying about what could go wrong/the things that happened yesterday/what might happen today? Your inner critic is LOUD, your expectations for yourself are HIGH, and not only do you feel you’ve lost sight of yourself, but perhaps you feel as though you've never really known who you are!
Maybe you feel lost, with no clear sense of purpose?
Feeling as though you’re not good enough?
Unsure who you are any more, or what the point is?
Stressed out is just your standard state of mind nowadays, and your confidence and self-worth have taken a nose dive…
You worry what everyone else thinks
You put everyone else first, always
You don’t want to let anyone down (but let yourself down instead)
…and you don’t know how much longer you can cope with feeling like this
I want to tell you that you don’t need to carry on this way – I can help.
My clients have experienced challenges just like this, and have grown to like themselves, improve their relationships, and to feel at ease and confident in their own skin. I have watched them grow and flourish as they process and move on from past trauma, feel more comfortable with who they are, become compassionate towards themselves, let go of the weight of other’s expectations, and live the lives they choose for themselves and their families.
Imagine feeling more confident – at work, at home, in your social life…
trusting in your own judgement – and forgetting about what others think
Communicating with those close to you more clearly, having better, more equal, genuine relationships
Working out who YOU are and what YOU want out of life – no longer letting the past or your fears hold you back from being happy.
Imagine being able to be yourself - relaxing and liking who you are, valuing and taking care of yourself – and knowing that you deserve it.
What to expect if you choose to work with me:
Your sessions are just that: YOURS. This is your time to use however you choose, and to talk about whatever you want. I won’t direct you or give you advice, but here are a few examples of areas we might work on together:
Self-Discovery and Identity: We’ll explore who you are beyond your roles and relationships, helping you uncover your true self and what is important to you.
Healing from Trauma: Together, we’ll work through your past experiences, allowing you to let go of shame and blame, and reduce their ongoing impact on your life.
Managing Anxiety and Stress: I’ll equip you with tools to manage anxiety and stress, getting to the root causes and helping you feel more present and relaxed.
Building Self-Worth and Compassion: Learn to like and value yourself, cultivating self-compassion and dismantling the inner critic that holds you back.
I use an integrative approach tailored to your unique needs which is rooted in humanistic therapy, bringing in trauma-informed techniques and mindfulness practices - we can discuss this fully in your first session with me, where (if it fits for you) we’ll use some assessment tools to see where you’re at now, and what your hopes and goals are for therapy.
If you’re ready to take the next step towards healing and growth, this is your cue to get in touch.
I work online, or face to face if you're local to me in Ramsbottom, and offer a free online meeting or phone call for us to briefly discuss your current challenges, the impact they're having, and to explore what therapy might look like with me. You can get in touch with me...

The first step is the hardest, but you've got this.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist with extensive experience in helping women rediscover their authentic selves. My qualifications include:
- Certificate in Trauma-Focused Therapy (Manchester Psychotherapy Foundation)
- BSc (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy (Professional Practice) (1st Class)
- Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP)
- BWYQ (Level 4) Diploma in Teaching Yoga
- CPD Certificate in Restorative Yoga
- ‘Be Mindful’ Certificate in Mindfulness
- First, Second, & Third Reiki Certificates
In addition to my professional qualifications, I bring personal experience and a holistic approach to therapy. I've been a Mum, business owner, mature student, wife, company director, employee... I've faced and worked through my own trauma, anxiety, and self-worth issues. This gives me unique insights into how you feel when you’re working out your identity, struggling with your career path, and juggling everything else in your life.
As an experienced Yoga Teacher and Reiki master, I also understand your search for something ‘more’ in life. Connection, meaning, peace. And I integrate tools from this role into my therapy to help you to feel better about yourself.
More than anything… I'm passionate about guiding woman towards greater self-awareness and emotional resilience, and supporting them in living authentically and joyfully.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
