About me
My name is Lucy and I am a counsellor working UK wide and a registered member of the BACP.
To any potential new clients - I offer you a very warm welcome.
Perhaps you are looking for a safe space to talk about your experience as an LGBTQ+ person? Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, grief, depression, relationship difficulties, low self esteem or stress related to your profession or studies? Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming on your own. Through online counselling we can navigate life's challenges together from the comfort of your own home.
I believe that every individual has their own unique form of resilience. When life throws you difficult moments, and when the anxious thoughts feel overwhelmingly loud, this resilience can feel hard to reach. Perhaps you are looking for a space to reconnect with the resilient part of you, or to understand yourself on a deeper level.
I understand that taking the first steps towards counselling can be daunting. As your counsellor, I will offer a listening ear and refrain from judgement. If you would like to take this first step, feel free to get in touch.
Being an integrative counsellor allows me to work with you in a way that is best suited to you as an individual. Counselling sessions with me are client centred and led by you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have had over 2 years of experience as an online counsellor and value the importance of feeling comfortable in the space that you choose. I have also worked as a listening service volunteer with college students within the additional support for learning classes. I have volunteered for the charity BEAT, where my role was to provide support to young people who were experiencing disordered eating by exchanging emails and supporting them with different situations.
My experience studying sound design and film, and my experience working within many cultural and arts venues, has allowed me to see the many different ways that people can express themselves. Much like in therapy, we all have our own ways of processing and communicating our feelings to the world. This has given me a unique understanding of the specific difficulties that may arise when studying or working within the arts.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
