My name is Lucy, I am a professional, trained and qualified counsellor offering private counselling and psychotherapy appointments at Louth Counselling Services, in Louth, Lincolnshire.
I understand how daunting it can be searching for the right counsellor. It was in response to my own lived experience of lifes difficulties, that in 2001 I began my studies into the human experience.
My positive experiences of counselling in both the client and therapist chair are what continues to motivate me in my ongoing development as a professional therapist.
It maybe useful in your search for you to know that multiple studies have shown, regardless of the approach the counsellor works from, it is the quality of the relationship between the counsellor and client which is the key to the most effective therapy.
I offer a warm, non judgmental, sensitive and calm way of working which values you as an individual and recognises that, within you, there is the capacity for growth and change.
My training in a wide range of counselling approaches and techniques enables me to tailor therapy to each individual client offering both short term and long term therapy depending on the clients requirements. As such I would describe my theoretical approach as integrative.
You can be reassured that as a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists I have a strong commitment to ethical practice and receive regular supervision as part of this commitment.
Self referrals are very welcome, whatever your reason for seeking therapy feel free to contact me via email or telephone. I am happy to discuss how we can work together and welcome any questions you may have.
