About me

I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor who can offer online, telephone and in-person sessions for adults and young people aged 11+.

I believe that therapy needs to be with someone you can feel comfortable and safe with and whatever has caused you to seek counselling, I offer non-judgmental, confidential spaces to explore any difficulties you may be experiencing in life. I can support you with navigating issues such as anxiety, relationships difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma and life changes.

My main interest is creating safe and supportive spaces for people to be able to explore who they are. I value everyone as a unique individual and offer a holistic, relational way of working to navigate life's difficulties together.

I am also passionate about supporting communities to challenge societal and environmental factors that may have a detrimental impact on mental health. For example, I have supported young people in schools to lead on challenging Senior Leaders to develop mentally healthy environments and put in place mental health support packages for those who need it.

Feedback from a recent client - "Lucy has been fantastic. I was not sure what to expect as this was my first time speaking with a therapist but Lucy made me feel comfortable from the start and came up with multiple things for me try all of which I found extremely helpful. She is very helpful and understanding. You can be free when talking to her without feeling and judgement".

If you contact me by email or through this site, please check your junk mail for my response.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
