About me
I deliver short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy in London Bridge and Blackheath. I offer a confidential space to talk over a problem and work towards any goals you set. My training in psychological therapies embraces different therapeutic models within a relational framework so we can explore the dilemmas that you experience in the way that suits you.

I have extensive experience of working in a variety of mental health settings including the NHS and in charities for over twenty years. I have been in private practice for over fifteen years and worked with many different people who bring a wide range of concerns.
My training in psychological therapies and counselling psychology means that I work from a person-centred position, which puts the therapeutic relationship first, but can bring insights from a range of perspectives.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My research is in the field of addiction. There are many ways into addiction and many ways out of it, and as with other problems, recovery is an individual journey. It is important to explore what role addiction plays in your life. My focus is on your unique and personal experience which will point the direction towards a recovery where you can make adjustments to regain those aspects of your life which have been affected. At an initial assessment we will explore what brings you to therapy and whether you want to work with me. If so we will agree on terms and conditions. We will meet weekly for 50 minutes and in a dialogue which will focus on your life, look at the dilemmas you are experiencing from a number of perspectives until you reach the solution you are looking for.
