Lucinda Milne Diploma in counselling
Thank you for visiting my profile page.
Undertaking counselling is a big step and one that takes strength and courage.
As a qualified therapeutic counsellor I am here to travel with you on your counselling journey. I have a respectful and dignified approach in which you are given a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which to start exploring your feelings and make a start towards positive change. By working together the aim is to encourage you to develop the skills to enable you to move forward.
I provide person centred counselling, psychodynamic counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy, these can be used individually or combined in an integrative approach. As we are all individuals it is important to find the best approach to suit you and your needs.
I know how important it is to look after our emotional well being no matter what our age. Stresses, strains and anxieties can hit at anytime of our life, we maybe dealing with current situations or something from our past which impacts on our ability to manage our current situation. Anticipation of future events can also impact on us at an emotional level. There are many reasons why counselling may be of benefit including low self-esteem, low self-confidence, bullying, family issues, bereavement and anger to name but a few.
I have experience in working with both adults and children to support their emotional health and well being, this has been gained in various roles within the education sector as well as in bereavement care.
It is so important to find a counsellor you feel comfortable with as this can help enhance the therapeutic relationship. It would be a privilege to accompany you on your counselling journey.
