About me
Sometimes in life we find ourselves struggling with our mental health which can become overwhelming and we aren't sure where to turn. Even those of us who are surrounded by supportive family and friends can find they have no one to speak openly with, counselling can give you that space.
The core of my work is Person Centred which simply means during sessions my focus is listening without judgement to you. I am impartial, with me you have the space and safety to speak freely in confidence. Together we can walk your path and explore your experiences and feelings without judgement.
I work mostly in a non-directive way to help you find clarity within complex feelings, perhaps begin to understand and discover coping mechanisms or simply just giving you the space to talk. On occasion and where appropriate due to my integrative training I can work in more directive ways (CBT based) particularly when dealing with negative thinking patterns and anxiety.
Whether counselling is new to you or you have received counselling in the past I understand that taking that first step towards counselling can be daunting. Therefore I offer a free no obligation 20-30 minute chat for us to meet before committing to that first session. Please feel free to click "Email Me" to arrange this chat and I will respond directly.
I am a qualified MBACP registered counsellor providing online counselling. I offer both short and long term therapy.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
