About me

I understand that the idea of counseling can feel intimidating, especially if you’re worried about what might come up. Reaching out for help isn’t easy—it’s an act of courage, and I honor that. My approach is gentle and grounded in empathy; I’m here to meet you where you are, at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no rush, no pressure—just the space to be yourself, however you are feeling.

Together, we may explore parts of the past to understand where certain patterns or pains began. But counseling is also very much about the present—about how you feel in your body and emotions here and now. Often, our bodies hold onto experiences, even those we can’t easily put into words, and I believe in honoring these present emotions as guides. By paying attention to what’s coming up in the moment, we can begin to understand and ease some of that suffering.

I’m here to walk with you, offering companionship and a safe place to explore, without judgment or expectation. We’ll move through this together, with compassion and openness to whatever unfolds.

My work is primarily on the telephone.  As it offers flexibility and comfort—you can engage from anywhere in the country which reduces barriers like travel or anxiety about face-to-face meetings. Many people find it easier to open up in familiar surroundings.

If you’d like to chat informally about the methods I use or explore books and resources that have been meaningful to me, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Further information

Therapy is for everyone. I believe that no issue is too big. I work with individuals from all backgrounds, and no experience is too overwhelming or shameful to bring into therapy. Lets face it,  life’s challenges can profoundly affect our emotional well-being, leaving us feeling lost, anxious, or in despair. Therapy offers a safe space— for exploring difficult emotions—but also for moments of shared connection.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, each of which I’ve seen create real transformation in my own life and in the lives of my clients. My personal healing journey has spanned over 30 years, and it continues to shape my practice with authenticity and compassion.
