Louise Sartori, BA (hons),MA,MBACP
With nineteen years’ experience as a qualified counsellor I aim to create a safe comfortable environment where you can talk and be heard without judgement. I have extensive experience of working with anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues and have worked in the health and social care sector for many years.
If you have had a life change or bereavement, are feeling fed up and tearful, unable to cope at work, worried all the time or angry but don’t know why, I will work with you to find the most helpful way to develop new ways of thinking and coping.
I work in a relational way considering psychodynamic and attachment theory to help understand how our experiences shape our present behaviour. In this way we can consider patterns of relating to others and look at what you may want to change. I also use ideas from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness particularly with anxiety and can work in a time limited or open ended way to suit you.
Sessions are usually at the same time each week and we will regularly review progress.
I have particular expertise in working with abuse (child and adult), depression and suicidal thoughts as well as self-harm. I am trained in couple counselling and can work with you individually and together to consider relationship change.
I am dedicated to social diversity, equality and inclusivity of treatment without discrimination and have many years experience of working with difference.
Location and accessibility
My practice room is accessible on the ground floor with parking available and is five minutes’ walk from Loughton tube station.
