Louise Moore MBACP (Accred) Counsellor and Supervisor
225 Gartons Lane
Are you feeling sad, anxious or confused by life, and not sure what to do.?
You may be aware that events and experiences from the past are affecting you and causing harm in the present. It can make you worry about your future.
Counselling may be just what you need to help you to find your way.
How can counselling help?
By exploring difficulties in this safe, confidential space, you may find yourself feeling more in control of your life, able to make decisions and positive life choices and to understand things that have happened to you.
Who am I?
I am an accredited counsellor with more than 14 years of experience in private practice, the health service and faith communities. I work with individuals and couples and also provide supervision for counsellors, ministers, health care professionals and others offering pastoral care. My approach is integrative, using perspectives from different counselling traditions.
What can I help with?
I provide counselling for various issues, including anxiety, panic, depression, relationship difficulties, historic childhood sexual abuse, rape and sexual trauma, domestic abuse, grief and loss, workplace stress or just simply feeling sad, and lacking hope or direction. I am able to work in a short term, solution focused framework, and also work long term over months or years if this is needed.
It may feel daunting to take the first step in making contact, but this may the best thing you could possibly do at the moment to get the help you need.
What will happen in the first session?
We will spend an hour together in which you and I will both be able to ask and answer questions to help to clarify what is needed.
Further sessions will be mutually agreed. Number of sessions and how often they happen and when the counselling comes to an end will all be decided upon in consultation with you.
