About me
I am a highly qualified therapist with specialist accreditations in psychosexual and realtionship therapy and also fertility therapy. I am uniquely able to offer EMDR therapy within these specialties.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is a psychotherapy approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences and distressing life events. Many clients experience significant relief from distressing symptoms in a relatively short period compared to traditional talk therapy. EMDR has been shown to be effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD, including flashbacks, nightmares, and anxiety.
EMDR helps clients reprocess traumatic memories, leading to a greater sense of control and empowerment over their experiences.
Psychosexual Therapy; I am a fully qualified and accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist with additional expertise working with couples. We are all complex and unique individuals so my approach will be to focus on your needs and what you require as an individual (or couple).
Psychosexual issues include; Erectile Dysfunction, Premature or Delayed Ejaculation, Painful Sex, Anxiety around sex, relationships and intimacy, Loss of Desire, Arousal Difficulties, Orgasmic or Anorgasmic Problems, Vaginismus, Dyspareunia, Fears around lack of sexual experience, Vulvadynia, Affairs, Communication Issues, Anger, Sexuality, Separation, Alternative sexualities, Prostate Cancer and sexuality, Compulsive sexual behviours. Relational ruptures and attachment issues.
All of these issues may evoke trauma, grief and loss and I am passionate about supporting clients to understand and process the complex emotions that can impact clients on a daily basis. I am able to offer EMDR therapy as a way of managing trauma associated with sex and relationship trauma.
Fertility Counselling; Before retraining as a psychotherapist I was a fully qualified, registered clinical embryologist working in all aspects of IVF. I am an accredited therapist with BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and I can support individuals and couples who are experiencing fertility issues pre-, during and post treatment whatever the outcome. Fertility issues can leave individuals and couples feeling isolated and alone, counselling can help you to integrate and process the issues that may arise.
Fertility Issues; Fertility Trauma, Miscarriage, Pregnancy Loss, Secondary Infertility, Involuntary Childlessness, Relationship Difficulties, Fertility Grief and Loss, Anxiety and Stress, Sex and Relationship Difficulties, Female Empowerment, Sense of Connection to Body and Self.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist as well as an accredited fertility therapist. Accreditation indicates that I have reached a level of expertise that is assessed to a high standard. I can support couples and individuals experiencing issues with their relationship that are causing distress.
I am an accredited member of COSRT (College Of Sex and Relationship Therapists). I am also an accredited fertility therapist with BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and I can support individuals and couples who are experiencing infertility issues pre-, during and post treatment whatever the outcome.
I am a qualified EMDR practitioner and can offer EMDR for psychosexual issues, fertility distress and trauma. I support those who are involuntarily childless.
I have many years experience working with energy and healing prior to completing my academic therapy training. I integrate all of my skills with talk therapy and also offer EMDR trauma therapy to my clients.

£75.00 - £95.00
Additional information
My fees are £75 /50 minutes /Individuals and £95/50 minutes for couples which reflects my specialisation and training. Couples are offered double sessions usually bi-weekly.
I do offer some concessions depending on personal circumstances and income. This includes students, single parents and those on benefits. Please ask if you need a concessionary place. These will be offered on a case by case basis and will require current evidence of benefits, student registration and low income.

Initial assessments are always on line. I offer an initial appointment with a contract in place which protects confidentiality £75.
