About me
Psychosexual Therapy;
I am a fully qualified and accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist with additional expertise working with couples. We are all complex and unique individuals so my approach will be to focus on your needs and what you require as an individual (or couple) to make therapy meaningful for you. As a sex positive therapist I can help you identify your sexually authentic self, and the relationship you want to have with sex.
Issues you may want to bring to therapy include; Erectile Dysfunction, Premature or Delayed Ejaculation, Painful Sex, Anxiety around sex, relationships and intimacy, Loss of Desire, Arousal Difficulties, Orgasmic or Anorgasmic Problems, Vaginismus, Dyspareunia, Fears around lack of sexual experience, Vulvadynia, Affairs, Communication Issues, Anger, Sexuality, Separation, Alternative sexualities, Prostate Cancer and sexuality, Compulsive sexual behviours, Peri Menopause and Menopausal issues
All of these issues may evoke trauma, grief and loss and I am passionate about supporting clients to understand and process the complex emotions that can impact clients on a daily basis without them realising it.
Fertility Counselling; Before retraining as a psychotherapist I was a fully qualified, registered clinical embryologist working in all aspects of IVF. I am now a fully trained and registered member of BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and I can support individuals and couples who are experiencing fertility issues pre-, during and post treatment whatever the outcome. I also offer implications counselling for couples who are considering using donated gametes which is recommended for treatment according to HFEA regulations. Fertility issues can leave individuals and couples feeling isolated and alone, counselling can help you to integrate and process the issues that may arise.
I Fertility Issues; Menopause, Peri Menopause, Miscarriage, Pregnancy Loss, Secondary Infertility, Involuntary Childlessness, Relationship Difficulties, Fertility Grief and Loss, Anxiety and Stress, Sex and Relationship Difficulties, Female Empowerment, Sense of Connection to Body and Self.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist which means I have reached a level of expertise that is assessed every year to a high standard. I can support couples and individuals experiencing issues with their relationship that are causing distress.
I am a sex positive therapist and have trained in supporting clients and their partners with compulsive sexual behaviours.
I have additional specialisation working with infertility and the effects that having treatment has on the couple and indivual. I am a registered member of BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and I can support individuals and couples who are experiencing infertility issues pre-, during and post treatment whatever the outcome. I also offer implications counselling for couples who are considering using donated gametes which is mandatory for treatment according to HFEA regulations.
I am passionate about supporting women who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, grief and loss through the peri-menopause and the menopause.
I am an energy therapy practitioner and use hands on energy therapy healing in a separate practice (not talk therapy) with individuals. These sessions may help to access current and past emotional blocks that may be affecting the present situation. I use mindfulness, hands on chakra clearing, somatic trauma release and shamanism.
