About me
I support people through difficult and distressing times.
Perhaps part of your life is causing you stress and anxiety. It may be something from your past or maybe with your relationship or a work issue. You may have a sense that something does not feel quite right and your normal ways of coping do not seem to be helping.
You may be experiencing
- stress
- anxiety
- low self-esteem
- difficulties with perimenopause or menopause
- loss through bereavement
- a sense of feeling stuck or confused with something in your life, relationship, or work
- feeling overwhelmed or out of control
- negative thoughts that can feel difficult to ignore or distract from
- difficulty sleeping
- a feeling of lack of motivation or low mood
- depressed
- difficulty making decisions
- difficulty sleeping
- relationship difficulties
- feeling you are in a job that does not fulfill you
My approach is empathetic, warm, and authentic. I have personal experience of menopause and parenting difficulties and the stress these can cause.
I am a qualified NCS accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and practice a form of counselling and psychotherapy called Transactional Analysis (TA). This is a widely recognised form of therapy that draws on a range of methodologies, such as psychodynamic and relational.
I offer a flexible approach that can be tailored to your individual needs, which can be either short-term (typically 8 – 20 sessions) or longer-term open-ended therapy. You can find more details on my website: https://healix-counselling.co.uk
We will go at your own pace and talk about what difficulties are troubling you, how you feel they may have developed or continued, and what you would like to get out of our sessions together.
Working together we will explore your beliefs, feelings, and thoughts which can give you a greater understanding and awareness of other ways of being and relating to yourself and others in your life. It can lead to discovering new options for change in how you want to live your life.
You are welcome to contact me at lher@healix-counselling.com to arrange a brief chat by phone to see how we could work together. I offer a taster session for any new clients where you can then decide if you would like to continue for further sessions. Any contact you make with me is confidential, and I aim to get back to you within 48 hours.
