About me

Hello and a warm welcome to my profile. My name is Louise and I’m a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Newquay and Truro.

How Counselling can help

Life can be complicated. Whatever is going on for you right now, being able to talk through your concerns with professional guidance and support can make a real difference. My role is to support you in exploring your feelings, emotions and behaviours and to help you find your own route through the difficulties you are experiencing.

I believe sharing your worries or concerns helps bring clarity and this is the first step to making things more manageable. Counselling aims to help you make better sense of your experiences and how best to manage them and move forward.

Getting in contact and what to expect

You can call, text or email me to arrange a first session. You are also very welcome to call for a chat first and can ask any questions you may have.

I understand finding the courage to contact and discuss what’s worrying you with a counsellor, can be a hard thing to do. I want to reassure you that whatever you bring to counselling, I will treat you with warmth, respect and without judgment.

As well as face to face sessions I offer the options of over the phone counselling or using Skype.

Training, qualifications & experience

Having trained in Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy, I now work as an Integrated Therapist. This simply means I am able to use a mixture of different counselling approaches to suit your individual needs.

I have worked for many years with children and adults with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self esteem and family issues.
