About me

Our work will support you to grow your belief in yourself, improve your relationships and to recognise that you have the capacity to both manage and respond to life's challenges, enabling change to happen.

My background is in HR Management.  I re-trained as a Counsellor having spent several years pursuing my interests in health and wellbeing, including becoming Reiki trained.  Having been on my own journey, I wanted to support others to recognise their capacity for growth and change in all areas of their life.  My work is relational as I believe that what we create together in the room determines the outcome of the therapy.  My strength is the ability to connect though understanding, empathy and compassion and to draw on my knowledge and experience to support you where you are.  Your wellbeing is at the heart of my approach.

My training allows me to draw on a range of theoretical approaches to most match your needs and will support you to recognise and draw on your own inner resources as you choose how you want your life to look.

I typically work with those who are experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, depression and those who are having difficulty connecting to their self and are challenged by their relationships.

I work holistically to help you bring about the shift you are looking for as I recognise that our thoughts, feelings and physical wellbeing are intricately connected.  We will work with your whole self.

In a safe, non-judgemental space you will be able to explore, understand and manage the challenges that you face and look towards the changes that you seek.  What you share will be held in confidence.  Your journey is as individual as you are so we will work at your pace and in line with your needs.

Please send a message if you feel you would like the opportunity to meet and I will look to get in touch with you within 48 hours.

I offer a free initial 30 minute chat via zoom so that you can share what brings you to counselling and I can let you know if I feel that what I offer can help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
