About me
I see adolescents and adults for either short term or open ended Psychodynamic counselling. I offer an initial appointment for you to have an experience of this style of counselling so we can think about what's going on for you and how best to work together if that's what you would like. The appointment lasts 50mins and the cost is £60.00 for adults and £55 for under 18's or Counselling Trainees.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Post Graduate Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and am a registered and senior accredited member of the BACP.
I am fully compliant in working for the NHS and have been trained and am accredited with the IAPT Counselling for Depression course.
I have experience in different counselling settings: working as a Counsellor for a charity offering low cost counselling for those on low incomes and being part of the assessment team within that setting.
I have worked as a Counsellor in a Secondary School offering short term counselling to Adolescents and have also worked in a University setting both assessing and seeing students. I have also worked within an NHS setting receiving GP referrals both surgery based and in my Private Practice. This is alongside my Private work.
I also welcome and have experience working with students who are completing counselling training.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I charge £60 per session, which is 50mins long. I offer a concessionary discount of £5 for students training to be counsellors.
I charge £55 per session for adolescents under 16, which is 40mins long.

My office and the building I work in has full disabled access and blue badge parking.
I always offer a one off first appointment, so that you can get a feel of the kind of counselling that I offer and so that I can get to know you. It is important that you feel that we will be able to work together and that is always down to your choice and in your control.
