Louisa Addo-Williams Integrative Counsellor
Hello, my name is Louisa and I am a qualified professional counsellor offering short and long term therapy for Individual adults and young people. For over ten years I have gain and developed professional experience working with diverse communities and organisations; which has given me insight into various challenges people face and allowed my counselling practise to be more dynamic.
Growing up I learnt expressing how I felt was a sign of weakness and accepted it was better to suffer in silence then allow anyone in.
How many times have you been asked how you are and your response would be either I'm doing good or fine; yet deep inside your words do not match how you truly feel inside.
Keeping up the facade can be overwhelming, emotionally and mentally draining to say the least.
At Speak your truth therapy I invite you to explore all the ways you have learnt to stay quiet and just got on with things while dismissing how you truly feel.
I will work with you to explore how to find your voice, assert yourself, speak out with confidence and to slowly heal; repairing what was once broken. As I believe what was once thought to be broken can be mended.
I have learnt during my own time in the therapist client's chair that therapy is a process, not an event. In other words, change is made not just in one session but through a series of them; I have learnt of the freedom that comes from choosing to Speak Your Truth, with trusted other(s).
Is it time to Speak Your Truth?

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

From this point we can explore if / how counselling might be able to help you before you decide whether or not to book your first session.
