Lorraine Drennan MBACP (Accred)
I have extensive experience as an accredited Individual and Relationship Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
I offer you the opportunity to explore the emotional difficulties that you feel are creating problems in your life. I will enable you to understand your feelings and gain new awareness and insight into who you are. Together we can develop coping strategies and enable you to explore your options to lead a more satisfied life.
Relationships often break down due to a lack of understanding, commitment or even boredom. The result can lead to a lack of communication, resentment, arguments and mistrust and can affect the ability for you both to enjoy your relationship. I will work with you to explore your fears, hopes and frustrations and enable you to gain new awareness into your way of relating. We will explore the dynamics of your relationships with the prospects of change.
Counselling can help cope with many issues including stress, anxiety, manage addictions and increase confidence. It can address issues of resentment and anger. Counselling can enable you to make positive choices and better manage relationships which often leads to greater compassion and increased intimacy
I have an anti-discriminatory approach working with both cultural difference and diversity.
Why not give me a call and see if I can help you lead a more happier and fulfilling life.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
