About me

I have been working as a counsellor since 2013, but previously I worked in mental health, community care, in a hospice, as a practice manager and a veterinary nurse. Therefore I gained a lot of knowledge and experience which has resulted in my being committed to providing affordable and flexible counselling via different counselling mediums. Whether you chose face-to-face, telephone or online, you will be in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

I'm just like most people who travel through life with ups and downs along the way and about 20 years ago I sought counselling. This step changed my life for the better and put me on the path to becoming a qualified counsellor with a passion to provide counselling as flexibly as possible, enabling more people to access the support they need quickly and within their budget.

I believe no problem is too big or too small that doesn't benefit from having someone by your side to help you explore your options. People accessing counselling often have a specific reason or combination of stressors which have become overwhelming and they feel they have nowhere else to turn. However, some people may benefit from counselling as a regular place to offload - maybe once a month - and to help maintain a sense of equilibrium in their life.

Therefore, I offer:

- Face-to-face, online & telephone counselling as:
- one-off, ad hoc, Long-term, short term & time-limited,

I also offer:

- Onsite Trauma support for small businesses - for example: providing support post accident/death of an employee/customer which has taken place on or off-site - I offer an initial free telephone consultation and if needed, a counsellor onsite within 48 hours to deliver 1-2-1, group and/or drop-in debriefing, onward counselling referrals if required and manager coaching. Please see my website for more details: https://www.lornawrightcounselling.com

- EAP Affiliate work undertaken face-to-face & telephone

I can work with you on an open-ended basis or regular sessions, which ever suits you and with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully. If having looked at my directory page, you are still unsure if counselling is for you but would like to discuss it further please contact me by phone or email.
