About me

My name is Lorna and I am a Clinical Psychologist. I help people with various difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Low mood and depression
  • Generally feeling “stuck”
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Bereavement and grief
  • Trauma reactions (including PTSD or "complex trauma")
  • Experiences of abuse
  • Childhood emotional or physical neglect
  • Persistent pain or chronic illness

Perhaps you've not been feeling like your usual self lately or maybe you've struggled with mental health difficulties for some time. I hope to provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk about what is troubling you. I aim to help you to discover your own unique strengths and resilience, as well as focusing on your difficulties and how to overcome these.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained to doctoral level and qualified to provide a number of evidence-based psychological therapies. I am able to tailor the type of psychological therapy that I provide to best suit you as a unique individual. I specialise in mind-body and compassion-focused approaches.

I understand that looking for the right therapist for you can be daunting. Please contact me by email or phone if you have any questions or if you would like to book a consultation.

Health and Care Professions Council

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
