About me

My name is Lorna and I am a Clinical Psychologist. I specialise in helping adults with issues relating to anxiety, trauma, relationship insecurities and chronic pain. I am qualified to provide a number of evidence-based psychological therapies and I have extensive clinical and research experience. I am a chartered Clinical Psychologist and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or alone in your struggles? Perhaps you struggle with negative thoughts and feelings about yourself. Maybe relationships are difficult for you, or you find it hard to trust others.

I am trained to doctoral level and provide evidence-based psychological therapies for trauma and other mental health problems. I specialise in providing attachment-informed therapy, meaning that I place particular importance on the therapeutic relationship as a means of promoting therapeutic change. A transformative client-therapist relationship is reliant on the therapist's ability to be sensitive, non-threatening, accepting, and empathic.

I hope to provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk and overcome your difficulties at your own pace. If you have any questions or would like to go ahead and book a consultation, please do get in touch.  I look forward to connecting with you.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
