Hello, I'm Lorna and I believe in the power of therapy to significantly improve our mental health, by raising our awareness, so we have choice and understand our own needs, so we are able to function in the world.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, work / education related stress and relationship issues. Working privately, in the NHS and for Mind.
Central to my way of working is a relationship of respect, warmth and curiosity. Providing a confidential, non judgemental safe space for individuals to explore issues and find what is right for them.
My approach is integrative and guided by the needs of the individual, grounded in the knowledge that our mind and body are fully connected. I am also a trauma sensitive yoga teacher and where appropriate, offer individuals the tools of yoga to become grounded and improve self-care.
I work from the Jesmond Therapy Centre. The centre is a short walk from Newcastle city centre, has free on-street parking and two nearby Metro stations.
If you would like to book a session or if you have any questions about therapy and would like to arrange a free initial call, so you can decide whether therapy with me right for you, do contact me via…
