About me

Are you finding it hard to get over something that's happened to you, or to someone close to you, recently or a long time ago? Perhaps it's affecting your relationships, your parenting or your work?

I'm a therapist who specialises in helping people after they've experienced difficult situations and events. This could be something that felt overwhelming such as an assault, sudden bereavement or an accident, or it could be a situation that went on for some time, for example, neglectful parenting, sexual abuse, domestic violence, or bullying. The impact of the past might be felt in different ways including relationship issues, difficulties in trusting, depression or anxiety.

Sometimes people don't make the links between today's struggles and events from long ago.

My aim is to support you to bring healing where it is needed so that you are able to live your life with more internal freedom and choice.

In addition to working with individuals, I also offer relationship therapy to couples.

I have a wide range of qualifications, skills and experience that offers a unique mix to draw upon. I am Certified as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and approved as a IFS Supervisor and this is my primary approach. I am also Certified in Advanced Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and trained in EMDR.

I am flexible about appointment times and the length of our work together - my aim is to provide what you need.

I am an Accredited Member of BACP and work to their ethics, meaning that my practice is responsible and accountable.

Do look at my webside to get a sense of who I am and how I work. If you feel that I could help you, please get in touch. A first appointment is offered at a reduced rate and is an opportunity for us to explore, with no obligation, how it would be to work together.

I also offer supervision, including online, so please contact me if you would like to discuss how I work as a supervisor.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
