About me

I am a qualified counsellor with a warm and caring approach and I provide a safe and accepting environment where people feel safe to talk about their issues / problems.

I have a wide range of experience including depression, bereavement, stress and relationships. I offer both short and long term counselling.

I am a Person Centred Therapist and I work in a creative and flexible approach to suit individual needs and difficulties.

I can offer you an initial appointment of 50 minutes which will give you the opportunity to meet with me face to face and experience counselling. After this if you feel that you would like to continue we can arrange a mutually convenient day and time to continue working together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Humanistic Person Centred Counselling having studied at Colchester institute.

I have 22 years experience as a Counsellor. I am a member of the BACP, and I am bound by their ethics and policies.

I am a trained Clinical Person Centred Supervisor.  Offering support and guidance to qualified and training counsellors.  Working together through the potential issues that occur in the client/therapist relationship. Helping the individual to grow developmentally and achieve a successful and professional practice.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
