About me

I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor and work with a warmth and empathy that embraces the entirety of your being. Offering a confidential sanctuary, I work within the ethical framework of the BACP to ensure a safe working practice.

I have been working therapeutically with clients for the last 23 years as a Holistic Therapist. It was a nudge from clients that led to me training as a counsellor when they let it out of the bag that they came to see me as much for my listening ear and empathic approach as for the treatments. Since qualifying many years ago I have worked with a wide range of issues including Bereavement, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Sexual Identity, Rape, Domestic Violence, Depression, Anxiety, Spirituality and Relationship Difficulties.

My approach is Transpersonal, Integrative and Intuitive and engages with the energy of our relationship, offering a variety of approaches to support you in accessing your deeper self. This may draw on Meditation, Guided Visualisation, Intuitive Process, Breath Practices, Body Awareness and Creative Expression to enrich the positive therapeutic effects of having your story both heard and valued.

What I aim to offer you is a space that is warm, caring, down to Earth and welcoming whether here at my home or online. To be a space that invites you to open and explore the depths of your being without fear of judgement, giving tender vulnerability a chance to be heard and valued. It may be that in having the opportunity to really hear your own voice, your own experience, your own being, that there is a freeing up that allows access to that deep and insightful wisdom that you carry within, helping you to make choices that both support and empower you.

My work as a Counsellor has been both a fascinating and colourful journey that has taken me from agency work to overseas, to teaching counselling at Wiltshire College, before going into private practice. I currently organise and run self enquiry workshops and retreats at various venues around the country as well as offering body therapies to support clients well being and teaching Traditional Kundalini Yoga classes which are strongly based in Breath, Kriya and Mantra to promote wellbeing.

Training as a shamanic practitioner served to deepen my passion for the depths of the personal and collective stories we all share, the inherited, the collective, the seen and unseen, the spirit of..

The transitions of life.

I like to think of Counselling as a space we come to realise we were never meant to fit into tidy boxes, or to be as anyone else, that the life pictures we paint always go over the edges, that it is here we find our uniqueness, our gifts, our essential nature.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
