About me
I am a qualified Play and Creative Arts Therapist, offering child-centred play therapy sessions, for children aged 4-11 years. I qualified with PTUK, before becoming Registered with BACP. I offer play therapy across a range of settings, according to the needs of the individual or organisation.
I also offer various other services (please see website) to support families.
I work from a dedicated therapy room in Brecon. I offer sessions face to face for children who would like to receive therapy using play and creativity, including art, play media, and sand.
I would be happy to explore your concerns, hopes, and needs so that I can provide you with a bespoke service.
Please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss your child's therapeutic needs.
After an initial assessment meeting with parents, to understand the child's needs (online or in person) I can meet the child/young person face to face for a trial session to introduce the Creative Therapy space. This may not always be possible so an information leaflet is sent to the family so that the child or young person has an idea of what the sessions entail. Questions from the child or young person are always encouraged. Please speak to me if you feel your child will find accessing therapy difficult.
I am passionate about helping children and Young people overcome some of the emotional difficulties that they face due to the many reasons and experiences that come their way. I generally work in a non-directive way, allowing the young person the space and freedom to explore and discover themselves by using the different resources within the room. I provide a unique opportunity that is confidential and non-judgmental where there is no pressure with the option to talk or not.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
