About me

Hello, I am a counsellor and hypnotherapist working in the Morley and central Leeds area.  I offer a safe comfortable environment for you to express what you are experiencing, empowering change and improving your emotional well-being.

Thank you for viewing my profile, I know that it can be daunting looking for therapist so please feel free to view my profile at your leisure and contact me if you require any further information.

At times, life can be overwhelming and unmanageable. It can help to work through what you are experiencing with a counsellor, explore your feelings and find ways of living a more fulfilled life.

Unwanted thoughts and behaviours can often be deep in the subconscious mind therefore they will be difficult to remove or change. Hypnotherapy can help you to address them and improve your wellbeing. Perhaps you suffer with stress, anxiety, IBS, phobias, unexplained infertility, or would like to stop smoking or lose weight. Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural and effective way to take control and make positive changes.

I am a person centred counsellor and qualified hypnotherapist who has gained a great deal of experience through my practice and ongoing training. I have the skills and knowledge to work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds who present various issues. I am a professional volunteer counsellor within the NHS and have worked at many other organisations including Place2be, GASPED and Bradford Bereavement Service.

I would describe myself as a genuine, down to earth person who is empathic, non judgemental and passionate about helping people.

As a proud active member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists I work within boundaries and adhering to professional guidelines.

It is important to ensure you choose a counsellor that is right for you. Therefore I offer an initial consultation to discuss what you need and to ensure we feel comfortable with working together. This session is offered at a reduced rate and you will be under no obligation to arrange any further sessions.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
