About me

Hello and welcome. I am a BACP registered, Trauma Informed, Integrative Counsellor.  An Integrative counsellor means I draw on many different approaches to tailor to your individual needs. I offer a warm, non-judgemental and confidential space, where you can feel truly heard and listened to.

With so many counsellors to choose from, finding a counsellor for you can be a difficult task. I offer a free 20-minute initial phone or zoom consultation, where you can talk a little bit about what has brought you to counselling and whether I am the right fit for you and your needs, with no obligation to move forward.

I provide short term and long term counselling either online (Zoom) or on the telephone, which enables many clients to access counselling safely and increase accessibility to clients especially during these times.

I work with Adults and young people (16+), throughout my work I have helped people with many different presenting issues some of which include anxiety, depression, trauma, narcissistic abuse, anger, stress, sexuality/identity, loss&grief, relationship, self-esteem and work related issues.

Life can be unpredictably challenging and messy at times. We all struggle from time to time, and this can lead to us thinking, feeling, or acting in ways we don't understand. Sometimes we can feel stuck, desiring a change but feeling unable to find a way forward. I believe we all have the ability to change, but we don't always see it or believe it's possible, however seeking help is the first step to making this change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a First Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling and I am working towards my MSc in Psychology.  As an Integrative Counsellor I am trained to work with a number of approaches, including Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Existential, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I believe, every client is unique in their own way and therefore, not one way of working is going to help everyone at every moment in their life, thus being able to draw from different approaches, can provide me to deliver the best possible care for each of my clients.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), this means, I adhere to their ethical code and best practise guidelines. It also indicates that I am devoted to ongoing supervision and personal and professional development.

I am fully insured and DBS checked.

I have experience working within the NHS as a qualified counsellor with the organisation Mind. In my years of practice I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds with different issues such as anxiety/depression, relationship issues, trauma and disordered eating.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
