Lisa Mason-Gates Dip. Integrative Counsellor MBACP
Hello, if you're reading this it's likely that at this moment life has become extremely difficult, and you're wondering if counselling is right for you and whether it will help. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about counselling, and I hope that I am the counsellor to help you. Please feel free to call for an informal chat, or email. We can discuss your needs and get an idea if we can work together for your benefit.
I am a qualified Integrative counsellor, currently working in Brentwood. I would consider myself to be a compassionate and creative counsellor. I see adult clients, and my fees are £40 per 50 minute session.
I am able to offer concessions for clients on a low income, I am happy to talk with you on the phone if you would like more information.
I offer a half hour assessment. In this time I hope we can discover what you would like from counselling and whether we can work together to help you.
I work from therapy rooms in Brentwood, I have appointments available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the day and evening.
I have a keen interest in Art, Music, History and the Natural world.
I am able to offer Walking therapy with clients that have been for sessions in my therapy rooms. The combination of getting out into a natural environment, physical exercise, and talk therapy can be a great way of releasing emotions.
I combine the use of the therapy room and outside natural environments for clients who feel this may be beneficial for them. In Brentwood we are blessed with some beautiful country parks, so there are many different walks to choose from. Walking Therapy sessions last for 50 minutes. Please feel free to ask for more details if you feel this is something you may benefit from.
I do offer sessions via Skype, email and telephone. Skype is £40, Email £35 and telephone sessions are £35.

I have experience as a volunteer at a hospice with recently bereaved clients, I found this work very rewarding and feel privileged to be part of their journey.
In my private practice I see clients who come with different issues and problems, I feel the most important part of counselling is to work with each individual as they are, and to create a confidential and safe relationship. I do my very best to help and support those who ask for help, however if I feel I am unable to help I will endeavour to sign post other counsellors and counselling organisations that may be best placed to help you.
I have experience with bereavement, developmental Trauma, low self esteem and low self confidence, relationship problems, anxiety, depression and stress, domestic abuse, loss of identity and spiritual identity.
I also have experience of working with individuals at varying stages of Alzheimer's disease and other Dementias. Including supporting carers affected by this.
