About me

I’m a Solution Focused Integrative Therapist who can support and coach you to optimum mental, emotional and physical health. My approach is person centred and I adapt the service to you as an individual depending on your individual needs. I draw upon a variety of methodologies including Counselling, Psychotherapy, NLP and applied Neuroscience.

I'm a science driven, fact based therapist passionate about brain health which drives physical and emotional well-being. I can help you understand the mind-body connection, the link between brain and body health (emotionally, physically and mentally) and support you to overcome stress, depression, anxiety and to develop resilience, confidence and greater self-esteem.

I trained as a person centred therapist and began my counselling journey working in the areas of mental health and addiction. Over the years I have continued to study and expand my knowledge in order to best help my clients. I now work with adults who are feeling stuck and stressed and who want to build their resilience, confidence and self-esteem. I also work with young people as a school counsellor.

Deciding to have counselling can be a daunting process and I know how important it is to find the right person for you.  If you think you would like to have a chat, please drop me an email and we will arrange to have a brief chat on the phone (free of charge).  This gives us the opportunity to introduce ourselves and for you to ask questions about how it all works.  If we decide to move forward then we will book an initial session and will then decide how often the sessions will take place.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
