About me

I am a registered Cognitive Behavioural Therapist located in South East Kent. I am accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and my background training is in Mental Health Nursing.

I have experience in providing therapy for children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of mental health problems and related issues including:

  • Anxiety
  • Anger management
  • Assertiveness skills development
  • Bullying
  • Carer support
  • Career development
  • Depression
  • Generalised anxiety
  • Low self esteem
  • Personal Ccoaching
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Personal development
  • Post natal depression
  • Social anxiety disorder
  • Seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
  • Work related issues
  • Stress.

I wholeheartedly believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to success in therapy. I therefore welcome clients to book an assessment session so that we can meet and find out if we are a good fit for therapeutic sessions together.

My person-centred approach means that I work alongside clients to help develop personal strategies to manage distressing conditions and symptoms that are having an impact on the quality of their daily lives. CBT focuses on making positive changes to thinking styles and behaviour patterns in order to offer relief from the vicious cycles of unwanted emotions.

Sometimes an individual needs only a few sessions for specific reasons before things start to feel much more manageable. There are times when therapy needs to continue for longer. I have worked with people therapeutically in time frames from anywhere between two- three weeks and a year. This is something that I believe needs to be agreed between an individual and the therapist and I encourage an open conversation about this within the first two sessions.

Please see my website for more information:

I hold professional civil liability insurance for my practice.
