My counselling approach holds the individual's needs at the heart of the work, providing a calm, confidential space to explore difficulties or challenges that life inevitably throws at us all at one time or another.
Together we can consider your situation to understand in detail the subtleties of your thoughts and feelings in an accepting, respectful and non judgmental manner. The benefit of being heard, validated and really seen can ease emotional turmoil making way for a clearer perspective and highlighting possibilities. Spending time nurturing and harnessing your inner strength and resilience will help you to manage your emotions and challenges more confidently, enhancing your wellbeing.
My training is integrated which means I can employ a variety of approaches and creativity to cater for your individual needs: to help achieve greater self awareness and personal development - I believe self awareness and acceptance of who we really are is the key to change and greater personal choice.
The counselling therapeutic relationship is the most important element of the work so it is important to ensure that a counsellor is right for you; I welcome a short phone consultation to see how we might work together.
Due to the current lockdown restrictions at present, I offer short or long term counselling contracts over the phone or via Zoom to suit your individual needs this can be discussed during our initial contact.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
