About me
Hello, and welcome to my profile. I am an integrative therapist which means I am able to draw upon many theories and modalities to provide the best help possible for you. At the very centre of therapy is you! The gift of therapy is knowing that you and your well-being are 100% the focus of our time together. We journey together to explore what is troubling you and to understand the impact your unique experiences have had on your life. We work together to identify what change is needed and how to make it happen. Our work will be collaborative, you will have someone who is completely on your side with no other agenda than to help you find the strength to live the best life you can.
I understand how daunting it can be to reach out, and you might be concerned about committing to something. However, I offer a free initial 20-minute session without any obligation and therapy sessions can be weekly, fortnightly or even monthly.

I currently work as a counsellor for two West Yorkshire charities alongside my private practice.
I have previously volunteered with a South Yorkshire charity that supports both men and women fleeing honour-based abuse.
I also volunteered for a North Yorkshire pregnancy loss/crisis charity working with both women and couples who have experienced the trauma of losing a child to miscarriage, termination or stillbirth. I also work alongside women facing a difficult pregnancy choice.
My experience is wide-ranging and includes working with clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, have suicidal thoughts or self-harm, clients who have low self-esteem, have suffered childhood sexual abuse, rape, domestic abuse, coercive and controlling relationships. I work with clients who struggle to come to terms with a bereavement, miscarriage, birth trauma, a relationship breakdown. I work with clients who struggle with attachment issues, who have suffered childhood abuse be it physical, emotional, psychological or neglect. I work with people who struggle with addiction, loneliness, health problems, menopause, work issues and who have suffered trauma of any kind. I work with clients who feel 'stuck' and unfulfilled. I work with people who have struggles within their relationships, whether that's family, intimate relationships or friendships.
I work with clients who have a diagnosis of, or suspect they have, ADHD and/or are Neurodivergent.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
