Linda McAvoy MBACP Accredited Family and Relationship Counsellor
Good relationships are foundational to the happiness and well being of us all but they can be disrupted by life-events or changes in our circumstances. I work for Relate and as a private counsellor specialising in work with couples and families.
From a professional teaching background and as a parent of four myself, I gained additional qualifications in parenting programmes and child development. My communication skills are clear and helpful for all ages and ability levels. I quickly build a positive rapport with my clients, who may well remain with me long term, or return after periods of time away, sometimes recommending my counselling to friends or to other members of their family.
I also conduct shorter term work and briefer solution-focussed therapy where appropriate, especially with young people. I work in a flexible time frame and do my best to accommodate the needs and circumstances of individual clients.
