About me

Welcome to my profile!

Are you feeling emotionally overwhelmed?

If it sounds like you, then you might be experiencing anxiety, stress, or anger. I am here to help.

Lack of self-acceptance can take hold of your emotional and psychological well-being. It can leave you feeling drained, focused on the negative aspects of yourself, and leads you to experience negative emotions. I can help you find your inner strength, build new habits, and develop a balanced view of yourself.

When you are trying to juggle work, studies, family, social life, exercise, and more, it can feel overwhelming. Self-confidence can elevate your mood and protect you from stress and depression. It will help you see your self-worth and open new pathways to achieve your dreams.

How can therapy help?

Counselling is talking therapy. It can help with depression, anxiety, work-related stress, family and relationship problems, and many other issues. I help clients deal with emotional problems. Anyone can go through difficult events in their lives, such as bereavement, domestic abuse, job concerns or health issues.

Finding the right person who you can talk to is not easy. By making the decision to talk to a professional you are on the right path.

I will provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel free to be your whole self. I am here to listen. I acknowledge that you are a unique individual, and I can tailor a therapeutic approach specifically for you.

About me

I am an integrative counsellor. I take account of your circumstances and utilise different modalities to help you explore the issues and find coping strategies. I practice person-centred, cognitive, psychodynamic and existential approaches.

I believe that every person can unlock their true potential once they heal the relationship with their inner self.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a level 6 Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I studied at the Inter-Psyche Training Institute in Kent and Medway NHS. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My professional experience includes counselling adults. I worked with issues such as childhood traumas, loss and bereavement, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, health issues, financial difficulties, stress, discrimination, domestic abuse, chronic pain, illness, and relationship problems.

I have a particular interest in inner-child work. My continuous personal development includes the connection between physical illness and emotional stress.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
