I offer counselling with warmth, openness, flexibility and respect.
Who I am
I qualified as a Counsellor and Coach after a 35-year career teaching, researching and managing in universities. Working as a Counsellor enables me to continue helping people develop their potential. I volunteer with several counselling charities, and particularly enjoy my private counselling ands supervision practice. I meet clients in my practice room in the village of Skenfrith on the River Monnow. Skenfrith is 7 miles from Monmouth, 12 miles from Abergavenny and from Ross-on-Wye, and 15 miles from Hereford. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My great joys in life come from my three grandchildren, my garden, my books, and cooking for family and friends.
What I do
My counselling is 'integrative', meaning that I draw on a range of approaches to counselling, depending on what is best for the particular client. I see my job as being to help clients explore their situations, their concerns, their difficulties and their possibilities for change, and to support them in making changes.
