Few people escape from some level of anxiety or stress in their lives. Many experience the sadness and trauma of broken relationships and bereavement. Over the years, I have helped clients with a wide range of issues, in particular anxiety, stress, panic attacks, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, smoking cessation and weight management to name but a few.
I offer professional and confidential Psychotherapy, Coaching and Counselling in Brentwood and the City of London. As I am qualified to work both as a therapist and a coach, this enables me to focus on deep and lasting psychological healing and change, and also the ability to work in practical ways to help my clients develop their strengths and plan a better future. I am also a fully qualified Hypnotherapist which allows me to work with a wide range of issues.
I am passionate about helping my clients to lead meaningful and happy lives, overcoming any barriers which hold them back, helping them make real and lasting change.
My background in education entailed working with children, teachers and parents experiencing significant educational & social challenges and I became very aware of how stress impacted on their emotional and mental well-being. I subsequently trained in coaching, psychotherapy and counselling. Since then, I have worked with children, young people and adults, helping them to explore where they might be ‘stuck’ in their lives, feeling anxious, stressed or depressed, experiencing a lack of meaning and direction, trapped in difficult relationships or even feeling like life is not worth living.
Over the years, through a passion for health and well-being, I have built up an extensive bank of knowledge on health and fitness which I use to support people on their journey ie Therapeutic massage; Aromatherapy; Bach flower remedies, EFT, Mindfulness and meditation.
What to expect in your first session.
I provide a supportive confidential space for you to talk through your concerns, to develop a better understanding about yourself and to help you find your own answers. I know it is sometimes difficult taking that first step and will always try to ensure you feel listened to and supported.
We will use our first session together to explore what has bought you to therapy and how we might work together. You may know why you are here but you may also just feel 'stuck' in a job, in a relationship or feel generally anxious or unhappy. Or feeling like you don't know where you are in your life and lack meaning and purpose.
It is a good idea to have a quick chat over the phone first of all - we can discuss what is going on for you and how therapy can offer you..
I offer a free phone initial consultation session.
Evening & weekend appointments available in Brentwood (some week day daytime slots too). Daytime appointments available in London (EC2 area).
I offer online counselling if you prefer to be comfortable in your own home, via Skype.
