About me
We all hope to be in a meaningful relationship with our partner that is both fulfilling and brings us happiness. Work commitments, stress and other other life changes, such as illness and bereavement can all mpact on our relationships. Many of the issues that we face in life are linked to our relationships past and present with family, friends and work colleagues. When a relationship experiences difficulties, it can be devastating. Not knowing where to turn or what to do next. Dealing with strong emotions of jealousy, anger, fears for the future, anxiety and depression can often become overwhelming. Feeling unheard or invisible can often lead to deep seated resentment that affects our everyday functioning.
As a relationship counsellor I can support you through these difficult times and help you develop an understanding of yourself, your relationships and the sometimes ineffective coping strategies that you have developed in order to protect yourself. By providing a safe and contained environment I can enable you and your partner to express your needs without fear of rejection and allow you to be able to communicate better your thoughts and feelings and ultimately improve intimacy between you.
