About me

*Online counselling only*

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, drawing from various therapeutic approaches to tailor my methods to your unique needs. As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to their professional standards. I understand that finding the right therapist can be daunting, regardless of the reason prompting you to seek counselling at this time - whether it's due to loss, depression, anxiety, stress, grief, or just a sense of being “stuck”. I can offer a supportive place and a space for your story to be held, ensuring your safety and confidentiality at all times.

Our past experiences shape our view of the world and influence how we navigate our current relationships and circumstances. I understand that these experiences are unique to each individual, and to help you make sense of them.

My primary goal is to provide you with a safe, calm, and non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself and freely explore your thoughts and feelings. This environment is designed to foster trust and acceptance, allowing you to delve into your inner world without fear of criticism or judgment. Counselling can bring about many positive changes, such as helping you gain a clearer and deeper understanding of your own internal world, becoming more compassionate and open-minded toward yourself and others, promoting emotional resilience, and increasing your tolerance to change.

Based in Somerset and offering counselling services throughout the UK.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
