About me
Like all psychotherapies, Gestalt psychotherapy offers a safe space to explore what is going on for you. The Gestalt approach very deliberately engages with your "whole-you" experience, which includes your bodily sensations, thoughts and feelings as you are, right now.
Gestalt also pays special attention to how you are "in relation" with your context: think of the life situations you are in, the people in your life, and even the therapist in the room.
Together, we work to increase your awareness of what is happening for you, as well as any patterns you have developed in response to significant events and relationships in your life. At times these patterns may no longer serve you, and therapy offers a space to explore what it is you need now, and how you might move towards that. In our first two sessions together we both see if we are a good fit before we proceed with shorter or longer term therapy.
Clients come to me for many different reasons. Some of these are: feeling 'stuck'; anxiety; depression; abuse; family difficulties; identity exploration; disordered eating; trauma; issues around neurodivergence; challenges around menstruality.
I also offer Intimate Partners Therapy (formerly known as Couples Therapy). In IP Therapy we work to gain more clarity as to how you navigate the particular complexities unique to your relationship. Through creating a collaborative environment beyond blame and right/wrong, we make room to explore how each partner experiences what is going on within themselves and between you. It offers a contained space for partners to express themselves more fully, and to experiment with communicating with and relating to each other in new ways. I welcome couples and any relationship constellation of any gender and sexual orientation.
People who come to Intimate Partners therapy may be: experiencing difficulties in communication; navigating big life events such as childbirth or loss; wanting support to repair after a breach of trust; experiencing challenges in their relationship on account of cultural, racial or identity differences; looking to strengthen their intimacy and/or sexual connection; wanting to (re-)negotiate the parameters of their relationship; wanting support to amicably go their separate ways; looking to explore relationship dynamics more broadly.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
